Cosmic Latte 05:20
Cosmic Latte The average color of the universe Found by a team of astronomers from Johns Hopkins University in 2002 they analyzed the light from over 200,000 galaxies to determine the color averaged out to a slightly beigeish white So if the entire universe was blurred out until all color was uniformly distributed, it would look much the same as the surface of your latte you're drinking right now. So next time you go to Starbucks, remember to order a cosmic latte so you can be the most basic person out there: in the cosmic sense. But is humanity basic in the cosmic sense? What is an "average" life form in our universe? Well that really depends on whether or not aliens exist. How likely is it that we are alone in the universe? Well the Drake equation is an elegant formula we can use to estimate the number of extraterrestrial civilizations are in our galaxy. Only problem is that we know none of the numbers to plug into the equation so there is no solution. I guess humanity isn't meant to know these kinds of answers yet, so we can only speculate crazy science fiction stories about what we think alien life forms might look like but ultimately projecting all of our human desires and sentiments onto them. So for all we know maybe we are the universal average. Maybe we really are alone in this unimaginably large universe. Or maybe the Milky Way galaxy is just filled with other humans that we haven't made contact with yet. There's really no limit to what your imagination can come up with when the ratio of explored space to unexplored space is bigger than we could possibly imagine. So take a sip from your cosmic latte and revel in the endless possibilities of our universe.

about

Cosmic Latte EP is a collection of electronic music tracks inspired by physical concepts from astronomy, radiation, and mechanics. Most songs serve as a musical analogue to a physical process, modulating aspects of the sounds in order to represent or recreate these processes musically. The last three songs also include narration or rapping inspired by qualitative study of the relevant physics.
