Cosmic Latte
The average color of the universe
Found by a team of astronomers from Johns Hopkins University in 2002
they analyzed the light from over 200,000 galaxies
to determine the color averaged out to a slightly beigeish white
So if the entire universe was blurred out until all color was uniformly distributed, it would look much the same as the surface of your latte you're drinking right now.
So next time you go to Starbucks, remember to order a cosmic latte so you can be the most basic person out there: in the cosmic sense.
But is humanity basic in the cosmic sense? What is an "average" life form in our universe? Well that really depends on whether or not aliens exist.
How likely is it that we are alone in the universe? Well the Drake equation is an elegant formula we can use to estimate the number of extraterrestrial civilizations are in our galaxy. Only problem is that we know none of the numbers to plug into the equation so there is no solution. I guess humanity isn't meant to know these kinds of answers yet, so we can only speculate crazy science fiction stories about what we think alien life forms might look like but ultimately projecting all of our human desires and sentiments onto them.
So for all we know maybe we are the universal average. Maybe we really are alone in this unimaginably large universe. Or maybe the Milky Way galaxy is just filled with other humans that we haven't made contact with yet. There's really no limit to what your imagination can come up with when the ratio of explored space to unexplored space is bigger than we could possibly imagine.
So take a sip from your cosmic latte and revel in the endless possibilities of our universe.

Decay (ft. MC Thorium)

Yeah, they call me radioactive
My instability is attractive
geiger counters tick tick away
everyday I live I still decay
My isotope got a half life of 50
if i make it to then I hope you're with me
so you could kiss me, but then it hit me
I'll be half dead by then, forgive me
spitting out bars like beta particles
electron fire, better than I thought it would
be, maybe this my calling
Nerdy raps changing the game, no stalling
MC Thorium, reaching glory from
the uranium mines, I rep the quarries son
Yea, eyes glowin green like clocks
I'm unstable, I'm spent, I need to detox
all day everyday I slay yeah
everyday everyday decay yeah
all day gamma rays my way
everyday everyday I say no way yeah
all day everyday I slay yeah
everyday everyday decay yeah
all day gamma rays our way
everyday everyday we DECAY
Thorium, radium, radon, polonium
Lead, bismuth, thallium, pandamonium
radiation, deadly, cancer
only the alphas stand a chance
two protons, neutrons, helium nucleus
shootin out like a star, quantum sky kiss
Starting a chain reaction, be spooked
contain the energy or get nuked
Absorb it, power our cities cleanly
instead of destroying all completely
neutron emission, spontaneous fission
How about fusion as our next mission?
This decay chain got me in pain
Thorium, more like BORIUM
My attention span is fading away
Like exponential decay, so I'm gone
all day everyday I say yeah
everyday I feel okay yeah
all day gamma rays my way yeah
everyday everyday decay yeah
all day everyday replay yeah
everyday like yesterday yeah
all day run away from the pain
everyday everyday we DECAY
